Caroline Tarbett Biography I have been working in PR for 12 years for some of the biggest global brands and some of the most exciting technologies. In my time I have been lucky enough to be involved in the launch of Google, eBay UK and Directline.com and worked for Microsoft for four years at August.ONE.
During my time working for Microsoft I launched Microsoft Office XP and Windows XP to the market, as well as running successful campaigns across 13 areas of Microsoft's business. In terms of my most recent permanent role, I was on the management team at Racepoint Group, I helped to run a portfolio of 26 technology clients across a number of different sectors. I had particular responsibility for Racepoint Group UK's portfolio of telecoms and mobile clients including Taptu, Gameloft and Veveo and, most recently, in addition to the listed clients, supported ARM and Mozilla at Mobile World Congress 2009 (MWC 2009).
I have a particular interest and expertise in digital media / influencer relations; managing social media and digital campaigns across a wide variety of campaigns including the management of Taptu's corporate blog for MWC 2009 and having run a highly successful, 100 per cent digital PR campaign for BT Podshow, promoting BT's portfolio of digital TV initiatives. I am a passionate evangelist for the value of digital marketing and its complimentary value within a more traditional marketing environment.
I have broad marketing experience having spent a year working at integrated marketing agency, Banner, and having run broad and sector-specific marketing campaigns for many of the companies I have worked for. One notable example was a direct marketing campaign developed to target the mobile and telecoms sector during Mobile World Congress 2008 and 2009 which involved the development of tailored ideas and insight, designed to excite and inspire marketing directors around the role of digital skills within traditional PR campaigns, and which resulted in client acquisition.
