Educational body based in Gloucestershire with a medium sized Press Office needs some administrative support at a busy time.
Below are the duties and skills needed for the PR Assistant role.
Provide assistance to the PR Officers in a range of PR and public affairs work:
- Carrying out research into PR and public affairs issues and providing clear summaries
- Electronic and paper administration of enquiries and media work
- Drafting press notices and writing short news items
- Dealing with simple enquiries by phone and email from external enquirers, including press enquiries
- Compiling and distributing press cuttings
You would need:
- Experience of working in corporate communications, PR or marketing
- Good verbal and written communications skills, and telephone manner
- Good attention to detail
- Be very well organised and methodical in their work
- Experience of working in a team
