Capitalize, the UK's leading independent sport and entertainment marketing agency, is looking for a freelance marketing planner to bring added expertise to its Entertainment Team and their treasured portfolio of clients. Specialist areas of expertise required for the role are music, drinks and youth marketing. The role is likely to be around 50 days work per year, worked out at 4 days per month or a day per week, although this may need to be increased during pitches and key planning cycles.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of the Entertainment team responsibilities will include;
a) Gathering insights and creating consumer profiles for key clients/ entertainment projects
b) Working with the individual account managers to formulating the promotional strategy for their projects (events or campaigns); using sales data, demographics targeting information; understanding of marketing ROI
c) Forecast sales/ attendance rates for events that will result from strategies, identify gaps and recommend contingency activity to fill gaps
d) Identify cost-effective plans to generate awareness, drive fresh custom and generate increased users/ attendance at events
e) Define key messages and strategise activity across communications channels such as email, PR, website, online advertising, above the line, store space
f) Keeping your finger on the pulse; understanding how our clients stack up vs. competitors
g) Use analysis, customer insight and market research to help the account managers review all activity and implement learning in prospective activity
Candidate Requirements
Knowledge/Experience:
a) 2:1 + level Degree
b) Marketing / Trade planning experience at another agency or in a relevant in house role
c) Music/ Events Specialist
d) Experience of liaising and influencing at all levels of management, both internally and externally
