Finding handyman tips writer.
I am building up a list of customers emails and use and auto responder to send them monthly emails.
I would like to send them monthly handyman tips.
I run a small fitted furniture business and a handyman service.
The aim of these tips is just to keep in contact and in the head of the customer should they need either handyman service or primarily the fitted furniture service.
These tips need to be fun, surprising, useful, easy to do, such as how to clean your sink with lemon, or an quick and easy way to renovate your outdoor furniture is to give it a coat of Danish oil with a cloth or brush taking you 15 minutes, but also and mainly ideas too, such as don’t buy a bran new kitchen just fit new doors and worktop, or reface your old wardrobe, or ideas on how to make the most of wasted space: fit a nice fitted cupboard there, that kind of thing.
Most of our customers don’t’ have time or the inclination to do diy, but we want to primarily entertain them and give them something interesting to read, (short, maybe 100-200 words max.) and to amaze them with things that just sound really easy and that they actually they could do if they wanted, even tips on de cluttering the house, or making shopping easier, anything as long as it is interesting and house/handyman/furniture related or not I am open to suggestions, anything to help the customer.
A lot of our customers are ladies so a lot needs to be to give them ideas, get them thinking about the draft proofing they need doing etc and give us a ring.
So I want to keep at the top of their mind so that when they talk to a friend or colleague they recommend us.
These tips are not to sell directly, they are to entertain the client, they need to make them want to look forward to next months tip! When they see custom carpentry in the subject line I want them to be exited! Well ideally!
I am looking for someone who is really creative and can put themselves into my customers mind, be able to write very short email tips, no formatting, just in plain text, no pictures, I want these email to be personal emails addressed to each individual client (easy to do with an autoresponder)
You would need to research these tips and let me have a list of tips and ideas you have in mind before going ahead with actually writing them, we need to discuss each one and its merits.

Sounds interesting! Can you give me an indication of the rate you propose for this work?
Many thanks,

As a member of your target demographic as well as a marketing professional I think this is a great idea. I too would be interested to know the proposed rate for this work.
Thanks

I love the sound of this. I do something very similar for a complex IT product - would be happy to send you an example. I do it at a rate of £120 per mail inc writing and html design and I can give you some very reasonable web base mail houses if you didn't want to send from your own mailer that tracks who reads them.
I hope to hear from you
Kind regards

I Tristan - I love the sound of this, and I'm sure after 10 years with a DIY freak for a (ex)boyfriend it might stand me in good stead for this. Every possible angle covered from floors to the roof in that time, even a bit of boat repair and classic car restoration. I would really appreciate clarification on rates, etc. I am part of of your target demographic, in that I really don't feel inspired by DIY, but I have learned a few things and I think I could research and convey interesting enough tips to reach other women like myself.
Thanks
Nicola

Hi Tristan
I applied for the writing role a couple of weeks ago and was wondering if you have appointed anyone to work on the project.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need any further information or if you would would like to discuss any of the ideas.
best regards
